Greetings from Oshkosh

Easy Street, USA

Today, we find ourselves in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, a town that holds a special place in our hearts. It's quite a coincidence that our friends, Victor, Lisa from Greetings Tour, and our very own American Mural founder, David, also have close connections in this town. Pete Donin and Shelly Zander, who are now locals, took the initiative to organize the creation of this incredible Greetings From mural. Pete is the owner of Easy Street Tattoo in Oshkosh, a shop that David actually helped build during its early days. We all know each other from the art world in New York City, and were thrilled to be a part of bringing this mural to life.

Our task for this project involved carefully tracing the sketch onto the wall, painting the expansive background and letters, and adding the realistic paintings to the insides of letters K and H. The letter K pays homage to Oshkosh's rich lumber industry, its hardworking laborers, and the iconic Osh Kosh B'gosh clothing brand of which the town is known by for many. Inside the letter H, we captured the facade of the Oshkosh Public Library, which proudly stands between two remarkable bronze lions named Sawyer and Harris. These magnificent lion sculptures were masterfully crafted by the talented Italian artist Gaetano Trentanove, and we had the privilege of bringing Harris to life through our paintbrushes!

Our technique for this mural combines the artistry of spray paint and the meticulous precision of detailed brushwork. This Greetings From Oshkosh Mural is a shining example of our versatility as artists and the depth that can be achieved through this dynamic twofold approach.
