We love the Midwest, so it was a blessing to travel and work here again. We’re in Sandusky, Ohio, of course, for another Greetings Tour project! Victor and Lisa had originally painted a mural in town on the State Theatre building, which unfortunately collapsed in June 2020 due to a harsh windstorm. This time around, we were working against time to finish the mural in time for the Total Solar Eclipse which was to pass through Sandusky on April 8, 2024. Like the previous Greetings from Cooperstown mural we painted, this mural was to be done on similar Dibond flats, and be installed on-site. We painted in the backrooms of an elementary school in Sandusky that offered us their space. It was tight quarters, but we managed alright. We used mostly spray paint, and vented the fumes out of a window. All in all, this project was a tremendous pleasure. It was great to work with our friend Mat painting the mural and we are grateful for the locals that helped us with the install!
