We had the incredible opportunity to paint this Greetings From Union County mural in Blairsville, Georgia. This mural was a true challenge, measuring 17 by 30 feet and consisting of 11 intricately detailed letters. With our crew of four, we took on the task of producing the mural from start to finish. Thanks to our expertise in both graphic and realistic painting, we were able to complete the project in just five days, despite facing unpredictable weather conditions. Rain or shine, we had an absolute blast working on this mural.
The mural's background pays homage to the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains, which are a hallmark of the Appalachia region. Within each letter, we carefully depicted scenes that represent the unique landscape and rich history of Blairsville. During the process, Jake Gooch, who organized the installation, kindly gave us a remarkable tour of all the sights in and around the town. We came to realize that Blairsville, Georgia is truly a hidden and underrated gem in America.
We are immensely grateful for the hospitality shown to us from the Gooch family and all the locals we came across. Shout out especially to Keens Creations and Co. for holding us down at the wall! For the full story check out Greetings Tour's blog post here.
